I am not just campaigning here; I was born right here at the Weld County Hospital. My commitment to this community is literally in my blood and deep in the soil of this region.

I was raised in the Windsor area, learning the values of hard work and community on the ground. My parents weren't politicians; they were farmers who raised cattle and understood the daily struggle of making a living off the land. This history - from my paternal side farming north of Windsor to my maternal side operating a dairy near Lucerne - taught me the discipline required to persevere every single morning.

My family’s faith has also always been a cornerstone of our life, growing up at Bethel Lutheran Church in Windsor, where several of my relatives were founding members. This history instilled in me the core principles - integrity, service, and vision - that I will bring with me every single day to the office of the Clerk & Recorder.

27 Years of Tested Expertise

Twenty-seven years ago, I began a career that led me to the Weld County Clerk & Recorder’s office. This wasn't just a job; it was an intensive, hands-on education into the nuts and bolts of Weld County government.

I quickly moved from the Motor Vehicle Department to the Elections Department, where I spent years managing the entire process from the ground up.

Elections Management: I mastered the technical process of programming the ballot tabulation system and ensuring its accuracy through rigorous logic and accuracy testing.

Proven Leadership: I led the team responsible for delivering fair, accurate, and secure elections, cycle after cycle. I bring tested expertise - not theory - to the table, and I will walk into the new role on day one with the deep institutional knowledge necessary for success.

A Security-First Mindset Gained Nationwide

In 2003, I transitioned to the vendor side of the elections industry, joining VOTEC, a voter registration software company. This role expanded my knowledge nationally and deepened my technical expertise.

Technical Mastery: I completed extension classes through UCLA, formalizing my knowledge in key areas like Operating System Installation, Oracle Database Management, Networking, and Comprehensive Cybersecurity Training.

National Advisor: I served as a trusted advisor to numerous county election and clerk offices nationwide, consulting with counties facing critical challenges to stabilize high-stakes processes and restore public confidence.

Proactive Vigilance: My dedication led me to attend high-stakes events like the DEF CON Voting Village, where technology is tested under the harshest scrutiny. I bring a security-first mindset gained from this hands-on observation directly to the county seat.
